Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where is the mobile sauna located?

  • We are not currently set up at a location, but keep checking back for our next set up! Or check out our private rental options.

2. What can I expect from start to finish?

  • Each session lasts about 45 minutes and includes time to relax, sweat, and recharge. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early. We'll check you in and guide you through how to use the wood-fired sauna safely.

  • Once inside, spend about 10–15 minutes in the heat, then step outside for a brief cool-down and hydration break before re-entering. Most guests enjoy two or three rounds of heat and rest. The session ends with a few minutes to unwind, towel off, and enjoy the post-sauna calm before heading out.

3. What do I wear?

  • Wear clothing you can comfortably sweat in, such as swimwear or lightweight athletic wear. Avoid heavy fabrics, metal jewelry, watches, or glasses, as they can become hot and uncomfortable in the sauna.

  • Please wear shoes that are easy to slip on and off, such as sandals or slides, since shoes are not allowed inside the sauna.

4. What should I bring?

  • 2 towels (one for sitting on in the sauna and one for drying off)

  • A water bottle to stay hydrated.

  • You may also want to bring sandals or slides and a change of clothes for after your session.

5. How hot does the sauna get?

  • Our wood-fired sauna typically reaches 170–200°F, depending on the weather and fire intensity. You can control your comfort by adjusting where you sit and how long you stay in.

6. Are there memberships available?

  • PLUNJ Mobile events do not include memberships at this time. However, we will be offering LAGOM and SISU Memberships once our permanent studio opens in the Gallery Shopping Center (near the West Town Mall).

  • Stay tuned for updates as we'll be offering Founders rates for early supporters.

7. Is there a place to change or store belongings?

  • A pop-up changing tent and small storage area are available near the sauna. However, we recommend that guests arrive already dressed in their sauna attire to make check-in and transitions smoother. Please leave valuables at home or in your vehicle when possible.

8. Is it safe?

  • Sauna use is generally safe for healthy adults. However, if you’re pregnant, have heart conditions, or are sensitive to heat, please consult your physician before booking.

9. What if it rains or is cold outside?

  • The sauna stays warm and inviting in all weather! Sessions continue in light rain or cold conditions. Severe weather may require rescheduling, and you’ll be notified if that happens.

10. Can I cancel or reschedule my session?

  • You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your session for a full credit. Please check your confirmation email for specific instructions.
